For the February installment of my 21 In ’21 series, I’ve got a list of 21 Instagram accounts for you to sample and see if they ring your bell as they do mine.

Like in 21 In ’21: Blogs To Discover, I am publishing a post on the 21st of each month that lists 21 of my top recommendations/ favorites/ideas as they relate to that month’s topic. Limiting the list to 21 might seem restrictive (and I might sneak in a couple extra) but think of it as an ice-breaker exercise. Or an elevator pitch as to why someone should even consider having an Instagram account, much less follow one.

And like in that first installment, the list of Instagram accounts you’ll see below is not limited to one specific niche. Many of them are primarily fashion/beauty-related and generally geared towards women in midlife and older. But there are others and I’ve organized them all into broad topic groups. Even though most of the blogs from my January post also have Instagram accounts, some of which I also really like, none are included in this list. Without further ado,  you should be looking at these.

If you been counting, that’s 21. Please do consider the Instagram accounts listed in this post as just a small sampling of the so many great ones by talented, creative people. For some, their account serves to support their blog/brand and for others, it’s a labor of love. In no way are the accounts included in this post an exhaustive list of ones that I think are worthy of following. But if someone passing me on the street (wearing a mask and standing 6 feet away, of course) were to ask which Instagram accounts I’d recommend that they should check out, those listed above would likely be the ones that initially would come to my mind.

My profound apologies to anyone who might feel slighted that their Instagram account was not mentioned.  Often, I’ve found myself feeling like an outsider when discovering that my own hasn’t been included on a “best of Instagram” list. I do my best to support other IGers by commenting on and saving many of their posts. These simple actions, done consistently, have as much of an impact on the success of another’s Instagram account as any self-promoting they do themselves.

Of course, my elevator pitch on Instagram accounts to follow would include my own, which is @fine.whatev. If, of course, they are a fun and fabulous woman looking for fashion/beauty inspiration geared towards women in midlife and older. Have you given any thoughts as to which Instagram accounts you would recommend and why? And, one last question … how are you doing now that a month and 21 days have already passed in 2021?

Stay well and let’s keep in touch! Subscribe, tweet, follow, friend, pin … all options are available. I look forward to hearing from you soon.

That would be great. I’m sure that they’ll appreciate a new follower.

I follow a few of these. What I have started doing is follow different ones on my personal account, lately I am enjoying homesteader ones: I am enjoy the beauty they show even though I would never be a homesteader/farmer.

Isn’t wonderful how we can pick and choose the accounts that “speak” to us, no matter the reason. Better than defaulting to what the algorithms suggest.

  2. What a great idea, Rena! I might have to pinch it for my own blog lol!
Off to check out some of those accounts now.
