Yep, it’s little ol‘ me. Popping up just in time for another edition of the Magnificent 8 Collaboration and sharing a workout wear look I’ve recently sported. And yes, I’ve got some explaining to do and topics to get caught up on but for now, I’ll enjoy time on the beach as I try to find some inner peace.

My sympathies to those of you suffering under the Polar Vortex. I wish I could tell you that these photos were taken weeks ago but that wouldn’t be true. We are supposed to be getting some rain tomorrow that will stick around for a few days and the temps will be dropping below 60 but I know that doesn’t compare in the slightest.

Meanwhile back at the beach, is there a more perfect setting for yoga? I’ve only recently experienced this delight for the first time but it is becoming a regular occurrence. My preferred attire is slightly looser fitting clothing like these lounging pants and a t-shirt.

For added warmth on a breezy winter’s day, I’ve also opted for a light-weight zip-up jacket that was a thrift store find some time ago. The Ugg-style boots in the photo above are a recent Poshmark purchase that I bought specifically to wear at the beach when the weather is blustery. It wasn’t blustery this day but I’d decided to make them part of the outfit anyway.

I don’t usually opt for graphic or message t-shirts for my yoga get-ups but I dug this out from the bottom of my workout wear drawer because it seemed so fitting for this post.

Have you visited any of the other Magnificent 8 gals yet and seen their spins for workout wear? In case you haven’t, let me show you the way.

The intent of the Magnificent 8 is to show that are no age restrictions on style. So wear what you want, when you want, add a smile, and strut your style with confidence. And be sure to check out all 8 of these amazing gals! We will be sharing these posts on a quarterly basis … be on the lookout in April for the next post in this series.

Grace of Graceful Rags is representing teenagers.
Michelle of Michelle’s Pa(i)ge is representing the 20-somethings.
Roxanne of Glass of Glam is representing the 30-somethings.
Shelbee of Shelbee on the Edge is representing the 40-somethings.
Rena of It’s All Fine. Whatever Tickles The Fancy is representing the 50-somethings.
Eugenia of The Age of Grace is representing the 60-somethings.
Nancy of Jodie’s Touch of Style is representing the 70-somethings.
And Charlotte of Jodie’s Touch of Style is representing the 80-somethings

Remember, you can’t put a number on style!

In my opinion, comfort is key when dressing for a workout. No matter if it’s a hardcore HIIT session or a laid-back yoga-by-the-sea class, it’s more important to feel good than to sport the latest fashion labels.

More to come, soon. Namaste.

  1. Looking good, Rena. Whether out walking or on the mat at home or lifting weights, I wear something similar. Recently relegated some of my workout tees to the rag bag–decided there’s no need to wear rags even at home! 😀

  2. Now that’s the perfect shirt for your beach yoga. Can I just say how jealous I am that you’re on the beach? I’ve been doing some online yoga (more on that in Friday’s post in 2 days) and at least it’s warm in my house…ha ha

  3. Rena,
I admire you, Jodie, Nancy, and Charlotte mastering yoga. I started last summer and didn’t stick with it. I found it easier to continue to do brisk walking and hula hooping.
