Used as a verb, fallin’ is the act of embracing the norms and practices of the season following summer, aka Fall. Go ahead, look it up. Oh alright, I made that up but there’s just so much “yay, it’s PSL season” that I can stomach.

Last Week This Week is a look back at what I actually wore last Monday thru Friday as long as it was a workday. I’ve included a brief description of each outfit and if I wore it for a specific event other than a typical workday. Without a specified dress-code in my workplace, casual Friday isn’t really an official thing but I usually adhere to it nonetheless.

Another normal work week with five days of OOTDs to share.   As my right foot and ankle return to normal (for reference see Back On Two Feet: Forward Momentum), I’m continuing to become reacquainted with footwear that I haven’t been able to wear for a few months.  And I’m finding that my preferences have changed.  I haven’t been so anxious to start wearing my higher heels, much preferring those no higher than 2″.

Monday

There are always exceptions, though, like these lace-up oxfords which were a thrift store find. As were the blazer and the pants in this outfit.

Tuesday

These paper-bag waist wide-leg crops with a diminutive floral print from the new Popsugar collection at Kohl’s are definitely work appropriate when paired with block-heel loafers.

Wednesday

This look sports my favorite fashion color combo of blue and black which gave me a chance to wear my black chelsea booties. From the tweedy jacket, to the eyelet-like trim on my top, to tone-on-tone brocade of my pants, this Fall look is quite a mix of patterns and texture.

Thursday

I usually will point out which day’s look was my favorite but here I’m going to confess that the look below didn’t turn out as I had envisioned. Something is off with the top and it may be leaving my closet in search of a new owner soon.  It’s too bad that these photos don’t show the color of my pants very well because they are a very pretty shade of wine.

Friday

My favorite for the week is a toss up between the one below and Wednesday’s. The top is the only garment I have with the color mustard which is such a great Fall color.

And there you have it, a look back at what I wore to work last week.  How do you decide what you will wear to work? Let me clarify … unless you’ve declared yourself to be checked out from any type of routine, anything you do during daylight hours (and sometimes nighttime ones as well) whether or not you get paid for it, I consider that to be your “work” and you should/can be dressed accordingly. And even if you are retired, in whatever manner you’ve enjoyed your day is good enough for me.

In last week’s LWTW post, I’d included a teaser photo on an upcoming post and I’ll end this post with another. October has always felt like “my” month, for a whole host of reasons that I’ll be sharing on Thursday.

Let’s connect! Subscribe, tweet, follow, friend, love, pin … all options are available and waiting for you. I look forward to hearing from you.

Nope, October is definitely MY !! month 🙂 Just kidding Rena, I’ll turn 67 later in the month but I really feel most joyful in Spring!
These are some cute looks. I think I’m partial to Wednesday. The scallops peeking from below the jacket are a nice feminine touch.
