After that wonderful extended weekend in Las Vegas, it was back to work on Monday but for another short week. I had the day off on Friday so The Husband and I hit the road (just the two of us this time) for a short drive to a nearby coastal area much like we did two years ago when we celebrated our 25th anniversary.

Last Week This Week is a look back at what I actually wore last Monday thru Friday as long as it was a workday. I’ve included a brief description of each outfit and if I wore it for a specific event other than a typical workday. Without a specified dress-code in my workplace, casual Friday isn’t really an official thing but I usually adhere to it nonetheless.

Monday

I titled this post “more of the same” because most of what I wore last week was a repeat of what I’d worn in the previous few.  The jacket, pants, and shoes are the repeaters but my top is a new acquisition purchased during my brief shopping excursion in Las Vegas.

Tuesday

More repeats here, too. Similar to my post from two weeks ago, there is a mix of patterns in this outfit as you can see in the close-up photo.

Wednesday

Funny story about this next look.  I’ve misplaced the cardigan somewhere in my house (eagle eyes may have noticed it missing from the feature photo).  I typically don’t plan out a whole week’s worth of outfits in advance, so I’ve established a routine that allows me to easily take the feature photo over the following weekend.  At the end of the day, I set up them on hangers as I undress.  I know that the MIA cardigan came home with me from work and I’m certain that I even brought it upstairs but that’s where I lost track of it.  At least I have photos of it if I decide to put out a BOLO report (LOL).  I matched it up with my polka blouse and sparkly sneaks.

Thursday

For this week, Thursday was the new Friday because the company I work for gives its employees a four-day weekend for Labor Day. And since I usually wear denim on Fridays, I wore my flare crop jeans on Thursday with a leopard print cardigan and my weekly repeating spotted booties.

And there you have it, a look back at what I wore to work last week.  How do you decide what you will wear to work? Let me clarify … unless you’ve declared yourself to be checked out from any type of routine, anything you do during daylight hours (and sometimes nighttime ones as well) whether or not you get paid for it, I consider that to be your “work” and you should/can be dressed accordingly. And even if you are retired, in whatever manner you’ve enjoyed your day is good enough for me.

Now that I think about it, I did kind of work last Friday (photo shoots for the blog) so for my sign off photo, here’s a sneak peek of the look I’m sharing in this coming Saturday’s post.
