There’s a whole lot going on in my ensemble besides the pairing of a bit of sparkle with a leopard print. By my count, there are at least three other style notes worth mentioning.

Would You, Could you? is the guiding theme for my posts that are published on the second Saturday of the month. Such is the question one might ask of oneself when happening upon fashion inspirations in magazine articles, store displays, or social media. Or you might find inspiration in an unexpected place like a sunset, or a desert landscape, or a plate of food.  Sometimes it might just be the heap of cast-offs in your closet.

In the case of today’s look, it’s just something I threw together. Needing a focus to today’s post, I’d thought to do a pattern mixing look with leopard and I’d decided it was time for a skirt outfit. Initially, I’d had an idea of pairing a midi-length leopard and a tie-dye top but I didn’t think that my options worked well together. Back to my closet, I came across the pleated sparkly skirt that I’d bought on sale this past Spring and kind of liked it with the tie-dye top. However, I also spotted this leopard print top hanging near the skirt (yes, pun intended). This beauty was a thrift store find made back in June but it had been a little snug across the bust. Today, it fits much better.

That’s how I came to bring together a bit of sparkle and a leopard print so let’s move onto the three other style notes I referenced. First, my skirt is doing a double-dip because along with the sparkle, it also has pleats. The second style note is blazers, which have regained some popularity this season, so I opted for my black corduroy one which has been a fav for several years. It, too, was a thrift store find. And lastly, my western-style booties. You can never convince that they’re not in style but apparently, several celebs have been spotted recently sporting cowboy boots so I’m going with the flow.

Let’s Wrap This Up

Now, onto the Fine-Whatever link-up. I typically like to include one of the photos of my featured blogger from the post they added to the previous week’s link-up which has left me with a dilemma. A few of the bloggers who regularly join the link-up don’t include photos of themselves due to the nature of their respective blogs. So this week, I’d like to do a shoutout to four of them who added a link (or a few) last week. Please do give their blogs’ a visit if don’t already follow them.

  1. I would wear all of this except for the blazer. I have never been able to find one that fits me right. That’s ok, though, because my life is kinda a blazer-less life. I would trade in a denim jacket or cardigan with structure. Love this look on you!
