Keeping with my intent to show color combinations with greenery (Pantone’s 2017 color of the year) has had me a bit stymied this go around. I’d already shared a pair of floral wide-leg crops that has a brilliant shade of green in the print background (see it here) and I nothing else new to share. There hasn’t been much offered recently in the stores so I’ve resorted to an old favorite top that I first shared about a year ago in a post called Going Green.

In a nod to music festivals, I’ve styled this lovely floral top with a lacy crocheted looking vest, rolled cuff distressed jeans, and a pair of strappy sandals.

A straw hat and a pair of sunnies complete the look.

These strappy sandals were a recent find at Nordstrom Rack. I find flats to be uncomfortable so I was beyond thrilled to find a pair of sandals with about a 1″ wedge heel plus the adjustable straps help for a snugger fit. All this and a zipper on the heel making for easy on/off.

Let’s Wrap This Up

Now, onto the Fine-Whatever link up for this week. My featured contributor from the last link up is Shelbee from Shelbee On The Edge. I found her post of all of the different hats she wears as a mother, a wife, an Army spouse, a sister, a friend, a small business owner, and a blogger quite fitting to the last week’s theme of Up Down All-Around. Shelbee was the first blogger I met IRL as a blogger myself and she’s been such a wonderful supporter of my blog as well. If you’re not a fan of hers already, you should pop over and give her blog a visit.

So I’ve called this color combo “greenery and sunshine” because of the bright sunniness of the floral pattern and in reference to the longer days. It’s so nice to have the flexibility to take photos in the late afternoon/early evening after work instead of finding time on the weekend. How are you enjoying the extra hours of sunshine?

Let’s connect! Subscribe, tweet, follow, friend, love, pin, stumble … all options are available and waiting for you. I look forward to hearing from you. And don’t forget to add a post or two to the link up.

I love that last shot of you Rena. Looks like you’re doing a little happy dance in front of the bougainvillea! The green floral blose is very pretty and gives a bit of a boho vibe. I sort of see green as a neutral and because it’s paired with so many different colors in nature I figure anything goes!! I have a similar lace vest which you’ve inspired me to revisit!

  2. Aw, Rena! What a pleasant surprise! Thanks so much for the feature! And since you were the first blogger whom I met in real life as well, you will always hold a special place in my heart! (Smooch.) So you know how much I love green…so of course, this shirt completely caught my eye! And the color really is fabulous on you. I love the easy, breezy styling you created with jeans, strappy sandals, straw hat, and that adorable lace vest! Spring perfection, indeed!

  3. Cute top, especially paired with the lace/crocheted vest.

We’ve had some beautiful days, and I enjoyed them tremendously.

Thanks for the link up & have a great week!

  4. That is a lovely green top on you! And yes, although I’m not shopping as I’m attempting 6 months without shopping, I’ve noticed lots of pink around and not very much green although it is the colour of the year πŸ™‚

Hope you are having a great week and had a nice Easter.
